Commissioned in 2024, VIVA ENJOY is the third newbuilding for VIVA Cruises and, at 190 passengers and 95 cabins, the largest ship in the fleet alongside its near-identical sister vessel VIVA TWO. The two ships share the same dimensions (135 metres by 11 metres), the same capacity and the same cabin layout. If you are choosing between them, the deciding factor will be itinerary and departure date rather than the ship itself.
What separates VIVA ENJOY from the older ships in the VIVA fleet — VIVA ONE, VIVA MOMENTS, VIVA VOYAGE and VIVA TIARA — is the dining offer. Three restaurants rather than two means genuine choice across a seven-night sailing, and the concept behind the third restaurant is more interesting than a simple bistro alternative.
The Cabins
VIVA ENJOY has 95 cabins across three decks. The structure is straightforward: the Diamant Deck carries the eight suites plus standard two-bed cabins, all with French balconies; the Ruby Deck has standard two-bed cabins with French balconies; the Emerald Deck has standard two-bed cabins with fixed windows that do not open.
The eight Diamant Deck suites are 24 m² with French balconies. At 24 m² there is a defined sitting area alongside the sleeping zone — enough space for a sofa and room to be two people not on top of each other. The full-height French balcony door opens the cabin wall entirely to the river. Bathroom has shower and WC. Standard across all cabins: flat-screen TV, included minibar, Nespresso machine, RITUALS beauty products, hairdryer, safe and air conditioning.
Standard French balcony cabins on the Diamant and Ruby Decks are 15 m² — compact but properly laid out. Twin beds convertible to a double, wardrobe storage, desk below the window and en-suite shower room. The French balcony slides open the full height of the hull wall. The same full amenity package applies: minibar, Nespresso, RITUALS, safe. The Ruby Deck sits lower in the water than the Diamant Deck, which changes the perspective during lock transits — some passengers prefer the closer-to-water view.
Emerald Deck cabins are 15 m² with fixed panoramic windows. Identical internal specification to the French balcony rooms above: same bed configuration, same storage, same amenity package. Air conditioning handles ventilation. These are the right choice for passengers who spend their time in the public spaces rather than their cabin.
Three Restaurants
RIVERSIDE is the main restaurant. International gourmet cuisine and, depending on the cruising region, regional dishes. Multi-course menus for lunch and dinner, open seating throughout.
MOMENTS is the Italian speciality restaurant. VIVA describes it as "a culinary journey through Italy" — the diverse flavours of Italian cuisine against the backdrop of the river landscapes. Available on reservation alongside the main RIVERSIDE dining.
VIVA's Bistro is at the stern and operates an alternating concept: on some evenings Asian cuisine, on others Italian-Mediterranean cooking, with classic dishes also available. VIVA's own description — "an interplay of two worlds" — sums up the format. On a seven-night sailing this means there is a different dinner option available on different evenings, which is more than most river cruise ships of any size offer.
All beverages — alcoholic and non-alcoholic — are included at all times across the ship.
Facilities
The fitness centre has a treadmill, bike, rowing machine and dumbbells. There is a dedicated yoga and massage area. The sun deck carries a pool. Free bicycle hire is available at every port of call. An elevator connects the Emerald, Ruby and Diamant Decks — worth knowing for passengers with mobility considerations or heavy luggage.
The panorama lounge runs the full width of the ship at the bow with floor-to-ceiling glass. The same all-inclusive drinks policy applies here as everywhere else on board. This is the natural place to be during scenic passages and evening arrivals into port.

Where VIVA ENJOY Sails
VIVA ENJOY operates across several rivers depending on the season. The Danube is the principal route — Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, the Wachau Valley and beyond. Rhine sailings cover the Amsterdam to Basel run through the UNESCO Middle Rhine Valley. The Rhône offers the south of France including Avignon and Arles. Christmas market and spring tulip season departures run on the Rhine and through the Netherlands.
Who It Suits
VIVA ENJOY is the right choice if you want a brand-new ship with a varied dining offer across a week. Three restaurants — particularly the alternating bistro concept — make a meaningful difference on a seven-night sailing compared to the single-restaurant older vessels. The 190-passenger scale is sociable without being crowded; 52 crew to 190 guests is a ratio that supports attentive service.
If intimate, highly personal service is the priority, the smaller VIVA ships — VIVA RUBY at 80 passengers in particular — offer something different. But for passengers who want the newest vessel, the best dining variety in the fleet, and a French balcony cabin on any of VIVA's main rivers, VIVA ENJOY is the natural choice.
