4 Nights in the Beautiful Cities Of Andalucia
On this four-night break to Spain, you'll be able to discover not just one but two of this captivating country's iconic cities. Granada is a city in southern Spain’s Andalusia region, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Juxtaposing Spain's highest mountain peaks and the tranquil Mediterranean shore, you can imagine why a common joke around Granada is that it's the one place where you can spend the morning skiing and the afternoon soaking up sun on the beach. It's known for grand examples of medieval architecture dating to the Moorish occupation, especially the Alhambra which is Granada's most famous attraction. At the top of a hill: the magnificent Alhambra Palace! As the most visited site in all of Spain, and previously considered in the running as a World Wonder, this historic relic is a must-see. Granada is one of Spain's most cherished treasures- in fact, you'll quickly see why Granada has garnered the nickname "Moorish jewel." Situated in the south eastern part of the autonomous community of Andalucía, Granada comprises an important pillar of Spain's most folkloric region.
After your 2 nights in Granada, you will then take a relaxing journey to Seville. The incredible city of Sevilla needs to be at the top of every traveller's list of places to visit in Andalusia. Seville is a city where all passions are ignited. As a former Moorish capital, its streets are awash in a vibrant jumble of Christian-Muslim architecture and the very best tapas bars (you must try the whisky tortilla!). The home of flamenco dancers, gypsy street performers and Andalusian cowboys in wide-brimmed boleros, who still strut in 2,000-year-old-plazas; if you’re looking to party, then nowhere does it better than here!
