After breakfast, the Dubrovnik Cable Car Adventure and Walking Tour begins at Pile Square, next to the fountain by Dubravka bar restaurant. From the lower station, we’ll continue our leisurely wander through the Old Town of Dubrovnik. Massive stone ramparts, elegant townhouses, stately palaces, archways adorned with intricate detail, and a sense of travelling back in time to the days of old Croatia are just some of the experiences that will greet you. Settled in the 7th century, Dubrovnik was one of the major ports and trading centres under Venetian, Ottoman and Austrian rule. After the catastrophic earthquake in 1667, the city was rebuilt in the baroque style and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
