The UK government announced last night that a new lockdown will ban England residents from travelling abroad between 5 November and 2 December, overnight stays and holidays in the UK are also covered by the ban Please note this ban currently only applies to residents of England. Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland have their own separate regulations.
If you are booked to travel before 5 November 2020 your holiday can still take place legally as the ban only impacts travel on and after 5 November until 2 December 2020
If you are currently on holiday, there is no need to cut your holiday short to get back before November 5, the ban relates to holidays departing between 5 November and 2 December 2020.
If you, a relative or friend are overseas and wish to return/visit the UK this is permitted subject to quarantine rules.
