Explore the day-by-day breakdown of your journey through Peru.
Upon arrival at Lima International Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Later in the afternoon, around 1:45 PM, depart for a guided exploration of Lima’s historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with remarkable colonial architecture. The tour begins in the traditional Pueblo Libre district with a visit to the renowned Larco Museum, housed in a beautifully restored colonial mansion built on a pre-Columbian pyramid. The museum showcases an impressive collection of pre-Hispanic gold, silver, and fascinating artifacts. Continue to Casa Aliaga, a historic colonial mansion granted by conquistador Francisco Pizarro to Captain Jerónimo de Aliaga, which has remained in the same family for centuries. The tour then proceeds through Lima’s colonial downtown, including the Main Square and the magnificent Lima Cathedral built in the 16th century. After the 4-hour tour, return to your hotel around 6:30 PM.
