You’ve got historically-rich towns such as Bari and Lecce, full of character; then, alongside them is striking architecture – like the “trulli" of Alberobello (cone-shaped buildings, some of which date back to the 14th century) and the Castel del Monte, a 13th century citadel sitting atop a hill in Andria.
