The lodge is located on the Napo Upland, 5 minutes from Punto Ahuano in the Amazon part of the Napo Province. The lodge can accomodate 38 guests. Hunting provides an important part of the diet of Huaorani and cultural significance. To counterbalance the offense of hunting, a shaman demonstrated respect through the ritual used in preparation of curare darts.

Itinerary
Arrive in Quito, a beautiful Andean capital surrounded by volcanic peaks. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and acclimatise to the altitude.
Discover the rich history of Quito as you explore its UNESCO-listed Old Town, filled with colonial churches, plazas, and heritage buildings. Visit the famous Equator Line, where you can stand in both hemispheres at once. Later, enjoy a scenic ride on the TelefériQo cable car for breathtaking panoramic views of the Andes Mountains.
Travel from the highlands down into the Amazon basin, witnessing a dramatic change in landscape and climate. Stop at a scenic viewpoint before continuing to the Arajuno River. From here, take a canoe ride to your eco-lodge. In the evening, experience a guided nocturnal jungle walk to discover the rainforest’s fascinating nightlife.
Spend the day immersed in the Amazon. Enjoy river tubing along the Arajuno River and visit a local indigenous community to learn about their traditions, medicinal plants, and survival techniques. Explore a wildlife rescue centre and spot animals such as monkeys and exotic birds in their natural habitat.
After breakfast, return to Quito via canoe and road transfer. Back in the city, indulge in a unique Ecuadorian chocolate tasting experience, learning about the journey from cacao bean to artisanal chocolate.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the Galápagos Islands. Upon arrival at San Cristóbal Island, transfer to your hotel and attend a short briefing about the upcoming adventures. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the charming coastal town.
Visit the Galapaguera, a reserve where you can observe giant tortoises in their natural environment. Continue to the stunning Puerto Chino beach, perfect for relaxation. Later, explore La Lobería, home to sea lions and diverse bird species including blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds.
Enjoy a day at leisure or choose from optional excursions. Visit El Junco Lagoon, a freshwater crater lake surrounded by lush highlands, or head to Lobos Island for close encounters with sea lions and excellent snorkelling opportunities.
After breakfast, fly back to Quito. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore the city at your own pace.
Spend the day at leisure or take an optional excursion to Otavalo, famous for its vibrant indigenous market. Visit the scenic Cuicocha Crater Lake and explore local handicrafts, textiles, and traditional culture.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Depart with unforgettable memories of Ecuador’s diverse landscapes, rich culture, and extraordinary wildlife.
