The lodge is located on the Napo Upland, 5 minutes from Punto Ahuano in the Amazon part of the Napo Province. The lodge can accomodate 38 guests. The Huaorani believe that animals have spirits of their forest . This is based on a peculiar mix of practices that recognize and respect animals, but no damage shields for human use . Hunting provides an important part of the diet of Huaorani and cultural significance. To counterbalance the offense of hunting, a shaman demonstrated respect through the ritual used in preparation of curare darts.
